The quality is second to none
MSA is an initiative introduced by the red meat industry in Australia to support the country’s agricultural industry in producing quality beef, and to give consumers the best information on getting the most quality out of their purchases. All MSA graded beef is labelled with an eating quality grade based on almost 800,000 taste tests by more than 114,000 consumers from 11 countries.

And don’t forget that high quality beef doesn’t just mean high quality flavor. It also means exceptional nutritional value.

Animal welfare is a top priority
When it comes to animal welfare, Australia’s standards are some of the most rigorous in the world. In 2005, The Australian Meat Industry Council (AMIC) developed a game-changing set of standards, which are renewed every 4 years. It makes sure Australian cattle are treated as ethically and humanely as possible as they’re raised for the beef market.

Additionally, Animal Health Australia has also produced the Australian Animal Welfare Standards and Guidelines for Cattle, which is being adopted by all Australian states and is aligned with scientific knowledge for ensuring the welfare of cattle.

The livestock plays an important role in environmental sustainability
Did you know that Australia has one of the most sustainable meat industries in the worlds? You might be more surprised if you knew that Australia’s livestock industry has reduced emissions from 20.8% to 10.4% of the national greenhouse total since 2005 and has set the ambitious target of being carbon neutral by 2030.

Impressive right? Thanks to the strict regulations and guidelines, customers all over the world love Australian beef.
